Danube International School Vienna (DISV) began with a simple but powerful vision.

Founded by Mr. and Mrs. Biber as a school for their own children, they soon saw the transformative impact of international education. Inspired by this experience, they opened the doors to the wider community, creating a school where global minds grow, curiosity is nurtured, and every student feels at home.

Since its establishment in 1992, DISV has held Öffentlichkeitsrecht, ensuring full recognition by the Austrian state from the start. We are proud to have been Vienna’s first fully accredited IB World School, authorised to offer all three IB programmes.

Over the decades, DISV has evolved into a vibrant and diverse learning community, known for academic excellence, inclusivity, and a warm, supportive atmosphere.

Today, DISV remains family-owned and family-led, upholding strong values while embracing a global perspective. We continue to prepare students not only for success at leading universities worldwide but for meaningful, confident, and compassionate lives.
