At Danube we pride ourselves on knowing and caring for every student and meeting their individual needs. We teach them strong values and the knowledge and skills for academic success. We challenge them to go out of their comfort zone, and help them to learn from their mistakes.

Danube is a wonderfully diverse community with over fifty different nationalities, welcoming and inclusive.Our students are multilingual.They are confident working in English as their academic language, learn their own home language and German, and take French or Spanish as an additional language.

Our students will tell you that the best thing about the school is their teachers, highly-qualified professionals who inspire them to love learning, challenge them to think critically, believe in them and support both their well-being and academic success.

Our After School Activities programme gives students some amazing opportunities from debating and MUN to spreading their ideas in our own TED X Youth event. They join ISMTF Maths competitions and the Vienna Science Fair, and can set up their own Junior Company. They compete in school football, volleyball and basketball teams and run in the Vienna marathon. Creative students can join a band, perform at the cabaret or in a school musical, or showcase their works in the Art Exhibition. 

All of our students in grades 11 and 12, with few exceptions, graduate with an IB Diploma. They gain places at leading universities in the U.K., the Netherlands, Austria, the U.S.A. and all over the world. We are proud to see them graduate as open-minded, principled critical thinkers, future leaders ready to play their role in making the world a better place.
