Self-directed, Experiential Learning
Early Years Programme
Our Early Years programme takes place in our specially designed Early Years Unit for children aged 3–5.
In the EYU children are supported by a dedicated class teacher and learning assistant. We ensure a low student-to-adult ratio for focused, personalised attention.
At DISV, we understand that children are naturally curious.
Our programme is deeply inspired by the International Baccalaureate, which places the student at the centre of their learning experience.

Focus on Growth
Our focus is on the growth of inquiry, creativity, curiosity, and imagination, all while meticulously ensuring the development of essential basic skills in literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional growth.
Our weekly planning is rich with stimulating activities, including ample time for outside playtime and dedicated lessons with our specialist team. Children in EYU have specialist teachers for daily German Language, music, physical education (PE), and library.
Learning in all EYU classes is hands-on, active, and accessible to all. Our teachers work closely with the children with varying levels of English proficiency ensuring all can confidently access and thrive within the curriculum.
Through careful classroom organisation and expert planning, our staff empowers every student to become a confident, skilled, and independent learner ready for their next academic step.
